Do not rent the digital copy of this book! It is only a 60 day rental which is ridiculous because someone is obviously trying to use it for an entire semester. It would be cheaper to rent a hard copy from someone else. I didn't notice it was only a 60 day rental. I am so upset that this information wasn't more obvious. I am trying to study for my last exam and now I do not have the material and I will need to pay ANOTHER $60 which is a ridiculous cost for a digital rental as it is. I will never rent an e-book again.

I'm sure the content of this book is great, but it said that the textbook came with student resources which, for this textbook, includes the PrepU component. The product page actually says, "Concept Mastery Alerts improve students’ understanding of potentially confusing topics as identified by Lippincott’s Adaptive Learning Powered by prepU." However, the textbook came with no PrepU access code slip. Also, the book, although listed as brand new, was not sealed and the binding is very worn as if it is a used book. Very upset as I had to purchase the PrepU code separately from the publisher which is very expensive.

Setting aside the ridiculous size for a minute, this book is full of mistakes, conflicting info, and editing errors. So much material is repeated unnecessarily. There are no answers to the practice questions unless you buy online access. If this is a required book, you may just want to rent it - otherwise, don’t bother.

HUGE book and the pages are shiny. Makes it really hard to read by any light source since the reflection basically gives it an awful glare. Good information, good charts and illustrations, but those shiny pages have driven my entire class crazy for how difficult it is to read.

This book is REPETITIVE AF. It says the same thing, over and over, within the same paragraph or in the next two paragraphs. That's more confusing to me than the actual content, and the book could have been half its size. The end of chapter review questions do not have answers, so I have no idea if I'm answering them correctly. This book is disorganized and difficult to follow, and by far the worst nursing school text book I've had to purchase, and unfortunately, I did purchase this one instead of renting because I intend on pursuing a midwifery career and felt it would be useful. *sigh*

I love having my text book in hand verses a digital copy. I bought this so I can open it when ever or where ever I need to with our liking in to some external network. BOOKS are the best! The product was brand new, its getting a lot of use.

I just started using this book for a class and have noticed and unfortunate running theme- I have found on NUMEROUS occasions that the book will directly contradict itself within the same paragraph. Assuming this has something to do with an updated version and careless editing. Regardless, it makes this book a less than ideal learning tool.
