While avoiding other books I came across Hatched. Being the dragon fan I am I gave it a try. The story line is good. Nothing goes as well as it was planned. Even though the title is hatched I wasn’t expecting her to actually hatch in our realm. Now I gotta wait to get the next.This story reminded me of another dragon trilogy that I loved back in middle school. Thanks for the good memories from past and future.
Joanna Mazurkiewicz has scored a home run with this book. Full of enough magic and parallel worlds to keep the reader turning every page until the very end. This book does contain a cliffhanger but I bet you will be scooping up the next in this series as fast as your fingers can type. Can't wait to read more about little dragon Avianna.
This is my honest and unbias opinion of the story. There is a lot of magic and parallel worlds threw this whole story to keep the story so interesting. Joanna Mazurkiewicz is awamazing this book was a wonderful read. I recommend this book to all and it is a wonderful start to her new series. You won't be disappointed you read this book.
Loved the book, it was fantastic reading, the Dragon Egg started talking and bonded to the young woman was amazing, I really enjoyed the story plot and characters, it was like I was there. Looking forward to book 2.
Female character is gowing in power and wisdom with two men vieing for her affection. I look forward to her next adventure in book two and seeing how the plot lines twist and turn.
The characters are relatable and interesting. The conflict is believable, but predictable. I'm not going to just rewrite the blurb, and the blurb foes an adequate job of describing the plot.There is a for sure live triangle, which I always find annoying , though this one is better written than most.The only real complaint I have is the retelling. An important part of the back story is exposed, then two chapters later, the same information is given nearly word for word as if it were being presented for the first time.Don't do that. Its obvious filler and makes the book seem to drag when it occurs.
I have read most of Joanna Mazurkiewicz's books, and I am a huge fan. It seems like every time I pick up her newest book I find myself saying it's my favorite. I'm going to say that again with this one! Her imagination knows no bounds, and her storytelling abilities are awe inspiring. Her world building, character development, and pace are some of the best. I have actually come to expect a certain level of excellence from her, and this one doesn't disappoint. Fran and her dragon quickly wormed their way into my heart, mostly because of Fan's snarky attitude, but also because she has a dragon. Who doesn't love a dragon? The way the dragons are dealt with in this one is very original, too. I read this one much too quickly, and I can't wait for the next book!I received an ARC of this book and I'm voluntarily leaving my honest review.
Not at all my cup of tea. Lots of over explanations and repeating of things that have already happened. Storyline is chick steals egg and goes through a rip into our world and tries to find her way back to draconia w the egg before it hatches to tell everyone the dark ones are evil which she says over and over. She makes terrible decisions and repeats everything three or four times over. The writing was stilted and didn't flow well. There was some crazy attraction between she and a half dark one that wasn't explained, another guy that wasn't flushed out. One moment there was action and then literally the next sentence had them sitting for a chat and this happened a few times. Made no sense. Had a cool idea but not executed well!
